7th Grade Math
This 3-Week, 7th grade summer math program focuses on strengthening essential skills and preparing students for the upcoming school year. Students will review key concepts such as ratio's and proportional relationships, operations with integers, and introductory algebraic expressions and equations. The curriculum also reinforces understanding of percentages, basic geometry, and problem solving strategies. Through targeted practice and engaging activities, students build confidence, accuracy, and mathematical reasoning in a fast paced, supportive environment.
8th Grad Pre-Algebra
This 3-week, 8th grade summer math program focuses on reinforcing critical concepts, and preparing students for 8th grade coursework. Key topics include linear equations and functions, an introduction to exponents, and scientific notation. Students will also review the Pythagorean Theorem, basic geometry concepts, and real world problem solving strategies. The program emphasizes algebraic thinking, precision, and mathematical reasoning through targeted practice and engaging, fast paced instruction.

Our methodology is tailored to the unique needs of 7th and 8th graders, bridging the gap between school years with focused, instructor-led support. We target the key concepts students most often find challenging, while building the confidence they need to excel in the term ahead.
Instruction Rooted in Mastery
Elizabeth Gardner earned her BS in Education from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln in 2001. She moved to Arizona in the summer of 2003. She is currently in her 23rd year of teaching. The first 8 years she taught 7th grade math and 8th grade prealgebra in the west valley. For the last 15 years, she has taught high school math (algebra, geometry, and honors geometry) at Dobson High School in Mesa Public Schools district.
